Ajmer Jain Temple
The temple was built in the late 19th century by a wealthy Jain merchant, Rai Bahadur Seth Moolchand Soni, in dedication to Lord Adinath, the first Jain Tirthankara. It is renowned for its exquisite architecture and intricate craftsmanship.The temple complex consists of two main parts: the main temple and the museum (also known as Nasiyan Ji Mandir). The main temple is dedicated to Lord Adinath and is adorned with ornate ceilings, marble panels, and precious stones. The museum showcases a replica of the Jain concept of the universe and the life of Lord Adinath through dioramas and exhibits.The main attraction within the temple is the Rang Mandap (Hall of Mirrors), which is famous for its depiction of the Jain universe. It is adorned with large, gold-plated wooden figures and mirrors, depicting various scenes from Jain mythology.Soniji Ki Nasiyan is celebrated for its architectural beauty, characterized by its intricate carvings, delicate artwork, and elaborate detailing. The temple's construction reflects a blend of traditional Rajasthani and Jain architectural styles.
