Amul’s museum throws light on the intersection of the freedom struggle and the milk revolution of Anand, and charts the trajectory of the milk co-operative ever since it was formed. A gallery with floor to ceiling images and an audiovisual show (Hindi only) helps journey through the years that Amul has been around.
The two-hour guided walk through Amul’s butter and dry milk plant in Anand, offers a unique peek into the complex operations, technology-backed operations and superlative laced discourse on Amul’s grand statistics. The company has 78 plants and handles 280-lakh litres every day that are transported by GPS fitted trucks and affects the life of more than 37 lakh small and mid-level milk producers in India. Walk through the cleaning, fat separation, standardisation and packaging units, as well as walls plastered with photographs of Indian and International luminaries.
