Ana Sagar Lake
Ana Sagar Lake was built in the 12th century by Anaji Chauhan, the grandfather of Prithviraj Chauhan. It was further enlarged by Maharaja Anaji Rao Puar in the 17th century. The lake has thus been an integral part of Ajmer's history for centuries.Ana Sagar Lake is an artificial lake, created by damming the Luni River. It spans an area of approximately 13 kilometers and is the largest artificial lake in Ajmer.The lake is surrounded by lush gardens, pavilions, and promenades, making it a popular recreational spot for both locals and tourists. One of the islands, known as Baradari, houses a marble pavilion built by Emperor Shah Jahan.
