Ancient Shri Harihareshwara Temple
Durga village of Karkala taluk in Udupi district (formerly DK district), the sixth incarnation of Lord Sri Manmahavishnu, is part of Shri Parashurama’s new creation. Situated in the foothills of the Western Ghats, this small village is surrounded by forests and is surrounded by hills and lofty hills.
The area is surrounded by three segments namely Malebettu , Durga and Tellaru, which are natural in nature, with a calm environment of areca nut, coconut and banana plantations. The forest is covered between section by section.
Earlier, the area was known as Malebettu village with inscriptions. It is believed that the village was named after Durga as it was surrounded by hills and hills which were built by Jain kings.
Established almost 300 years ago, this temple is the first of its kind in the Chitpavan community.Worshiping the Hariharas here is not an option for the Advaita conflict, the Hariharas.Shri Harihareshwar is a devotee who has witnessed the supernatural relationship.
