Balaji Puram

Small places also often have some hidden jewel and Betul is one such place having the Balajipuram temple which is a lovely place for visit. It is basically a temple of Lord Balaji (Vishnu Bhagwan ) but has been made very artistically so catches attention involuntarily. The Temple is located on the National Highway no.19B in Betul Bazar about 8 kms from Betul town.Betul is connected very well with Bhopal (200 kms.),Nagpur (173 kms.) & Indore (260kms.) through excellent roads. Besides Vandebharat train also connects Betul with Indore and Bhopal and several prominent trains like G.T. Express,Dakshin express, Gorakhpur express,Raptisagar and Chennai Lucknow express etc. halt at Betul.
The Balajipuram is a temple complex spread over several acres of land.It has different temples . The main temple is of Balaji with Laxmi. Here photography or making videos is prohibited.Intricate carvings and colourful decorative paintings adorn the inner walls and ceiling of this temple. Other than this,a python shaped cave housing idols of Shiva family, a tunnel leading up to the Santoshi temple, a cave to Ram Mandir and another cave to the Twelve Jyotirlingams are there too.
