Bargi Dam on Narmada River

Bargi Dam is one of the beloved Jabalpur tourist places that happens to be an earthen dam that was constructed over the river Narmada to serve a wide range of activities and manage the flow of the river to generate hydroelectricity.The dam has a height of 226 foot and it extends over a length of 5.4 km. The construction of the dam was started in the year 1974 and it was completed in the year 1990. The dam, however, not only fulfils the agricultural needs of the state but it also happens to be one of the loved places to see in Jabalpur.
