Beypore Beach

Beypore Beach is a beautiful beach on the western coastline of India. It is located about 10 kilometres from Kozhikode in God's Own Country, Kerala. The beach is located at the mouth of River Chaliyar and is a famous beach destination all across the world. The beautiful skies over the pristine sea and the long stretch of golden sand and the tall coconut trees make for a fabulous vacation destination in Kerala. Sunsets are a special treat to the eyes here after a long stroll. Morning people can go jogging on the smooth golden sand and follow it by a variety of activities by the seashore like water sports, local breakfast or laze in the sand till day calls for a scrumptious Kerala Lunch. There is something for everyone here. Kozhikode was previously known as Calicut and Beypore, or Beypur port was a bustling trade port in ancient India. Beypore Beach is famous for its Shipbuilding yard that is over 1500 years old. Some documents state that India traded efficiently during these years with the Arabs, the Chinese, and the Europeans. Beypore was also one of the most important fishing harbours in Kerala. The 2 kilometre long stone bridge leading to the sea is a major attraction here. There are also provisions for traditional Ayurvedic massages that tourists can make the most of after a long active day at the beach.
