Cenotaphs of Kunwar Chain Singh
uilt in the 15th century in memory of Kunwar Chain Singh, a minister in Sultan Mahmud Khilji’s court, the Cenotaphs of Kunwar Chain Singh depict the Indo-Islamic style of architecture. Located on the banks of the Lotia River, the cenotaphs are made of red sandstone, with the platform surrounded by a boundary wall with small domes and four minarets. The interior walls of the cenotaph are embellished with paintings, carvings and beautiful designs. There is a small chamber where the carcasses of Kunwar Chain Singh are kept. The fusion of Hindu and Islamic elements makes this spot worth a visit.
