Devi Karumari Amman Temple

This Temple is situated at Thiruverkadu. Thaipoosa Latcharchana and Poornima Latcharchana are very auspicious. Other important festivals are. Masi magam, Tamil new year, Panguni uthiram and Garudaseva. Sundays are very special. The poojas are Archana, Sagasranama Archana, Ashtothra Archana, Abishekam. Each Sunday the temple offers free food to its devotees. In the tire around the sanctum Sanctorum the first praharam Valampuri Viniyagar sanithi in the east, Srinivasa perumal sannathi in the north east navagraha sannithi in the south east and Verkanniamman sannithi in the north west, Murugan Sannithi and Marasilaiamman sannithi facing south situated. In the second tier or second praharam Dakshinamoorthy sannithi facing south is situated while angala parameswari is situated in the south east corner.Prathyankaradevi sannithi,Sapthakannikai,Murugan with valli deivanai sannithi are situated facing east while durgai sannithi is situated facing north and Bairavar sannithi is situated facing south.There is a five tired rajagopuram in the east of the temple. The sacred tank known as the THIRUNEETRU POIGAI is situated in front of the Rajagopuram. Putru kovil is situated towards the north east of the temple.There are 2 tiers or praharams around the temple and make dharsdhan an enjoyable experience for the devotees coming to the temple.
