Hot Spring(Tilam)

On the left side of the Lohit River is Hawai, the district headquarters for the Anjaw district. In the Kaman Mishmi dialect, "Hawai" means "pond". An acre of ground in the city's centre that was once a pond is now used for permanent paddy cultivation.

River Lohit, a tributary of the Brahmaputra, runs parallel to the Ton. It is located on the left side of the river Lohit and about 58 kilometres southeast of Hayuliang by road. Hawai is one of the most picturesque locations in Arunachal Pradesh, thanks to the lovely scene of the Lohit valley and the settlement's dominating height.

Although communication can be difficult, particularly during the monsoon season, Hawai has a modest suburban infrastructure. Akashvani Hawai, an All India Radio Relay station, is a source of pride for the community. It uses FM frequencies to broadcast. Let’s begin the journey with a Hawai travel guide and explore the beauty of Arunachal Pradesh.
