Jaswant Garh War Memorial, located in Nuranang district of Arunachal Pradesh, welcomes visitors year-round with its compelling tale of valour. It pays homage to the brave Jaswant Singh Rawat, an Indian rifleman of 4 Garhwal Rifles.

Imagine the courage of a young soldier of the 4th Garhwal Rifles, who stood his ground against overwhelming odds. For 72 gruelling hours, he single-handedly inflicted heavy casualties on the enemy before making the ultimate sacrifice. His unwavering dedication became a legend which inspired generations of soldiers. Rawat's courage in facing the Chinese army led to the establishment of this memorial at the very spot of his heroic stand. He was posthumously honoured with India’s second-highest military award, the Mahavir Chakra.
