KOLLI HILLS

Kolli Hills is a small mountain range located in Western Tamil Nadu and spread over the Salem district. The mountains are covered by green vegetation in the spring and monsoon, and are streaked with streams. There are three reserve forests that are controlled by the Government of Tamil Nadu, namely Ariyur Solai, Kundur Nadu, Pulianjolai.Kolli Hills is visited by nature lovers, hikers, trekking clubs, tourists and meditation practitioners among hill stations in Tamil Nadu. Agaya Gangai is the waterfall situated near the Arappaleeswarar temple.The Boat House, situated in Vasalurpatty on the Solakkadu-Thinnanurpatty Road, is a picnic spot where boating can be done. There is a small natural island in the middle of the lake.Botanical Garden is a picnic spot that has a park, rose garden, eco-friendly cottages, Herbal Park and a view point. There is also a small children's park in the garden that includes rides like see-saw, wave slide, statues of animals and merry-go-round. The garden is famous for a porch room that is used for conducting a flower show and a pineapple research farm.View points in Kolli Hills have been developed for promoting tourism. One of the view points is at Selurnadu and another is at Seekuparai. The State government has developed a park and a road leading to the Seekuparai View Point.
