Kavala Caves

 

Located in the Dandeli Sanctuary, The Kavala caves are a lesser-explored place. Water seeping through porous rocks has formed caves along the ridge overlooking the Kali River valley for millions of years. You can also find a giant stalagmite that looks like a Shiva Linga; this attracts a lot of devotees during Shivaratri.
