Khammam Laxmi Narasimha Temple

This ancient temple, dedicated to Lord Narasimha, is known for its intricate architecture and serene atmosphere. It is a place of worship and meditation, and the annual Brahmotsavam festival is celebrated with great fervor. According to legends, the Narsimha Swami or Narsimhadri temple, situated on a hill called Stambhadri, is said to have existed since 1.6 million years. The city derives it's name from the vertical rock that acts as pillar or 'Khamba' below the temple.
