Lakshmi Temple

The Lakshmi temple in Orchaa is a must visit for art lovers and another example of magnificent architecture by the Bundelas. The temple is not active but is a gem worth visiting. The paintings on the ceiling depict scenes from all Hindu mythology ie Raja Ram, Lord Krishna, Vishnu, Brahma, Shiva... Rarely seen beautiful frescoes on the ceilings and walls. Scenes of battle with the Rajput warriors, the English, Frenc h invaders, all worth seeing. Detailed observation by the artists of those times is visible in the depiction of all the art.
