Lanji Fort
The Lanji durg and mandir, also called the Lanjigarh or Old fort and temples of Lanji, are a group of monuments traceable to the 11th to 12th-century. The fort had a moat surrounding it, one farmed with crocodiles as the first line of defense. Made of stone and twenty feet high, the fort walls are decorated with Hindu motifs such as Ganesha, Vishnu avatars and other iconography. Its main entrance was to the east.
The fort covers about 8 acres of land, had several structures of which the Hindu temple survives. This temple has three sanctums – probably for Trimurti, but the original statues are lost. The temple architecture is Nagara, the design shows a blend of Kalachuri and Yadava influences.
