The colossal structure of this 800-year old fort boasts a long list of dynastic links to its name. Barely an hour’s drive from Hyderabad will take you to the heart of Medak town and in less than 10 minutes you will reach at the foot of the 300-ft hillock at the top of which the fort was built. The enormous fort spreads over some 100 acres of hilly lands. The fortress has three main entrances. The decoration and sculptures on the gates demonstrates the architectural diversities of different era.
