Mrityunjaya Pardeshwar Temple (Mercury Shivlinga)

Parbhani also known as Prabhavatinagar is one of the Eight districts in the Marathawada region of Maharashtra. Shri Mrityunjay Pardeshwar Mahadev Mandir is a marble temple built by Sri Swami Satchidanji Saraswati. The huge Shivalinga is dedicated to Lord Shiva with a height of 80 feet. The Shivlinga of the temple is the main shrine made up of 250 kg of Mercury and it is the largest Shivlinga of India. This Shivling made of Paradal is called Tejolinga and has the same religious significance as the 12 Jyotirlingas.
