Peacock Valley

 The place was a huge open ground with trees on both sides. We stood in the middle near a house, prohibited to move any further so as not to scare the peacocks away. There was a small hillock right behind this field, on the other side of which there was a green carpet of trees. The field where the food was given, was completely bare, but on both sides, trees had lined up which served as the home of these beautiful slender birds. We waited for the birds to come out of their homes. As the minutes passed by, came out a variety of nature’s small, yet beautiful creatures. Mongoose, House Sparrow and finally the stars of the afternoon, with a beautiful crown on their heads, walked in the slender, beautiful peacocks. In the first few minutes, one could see only 4 or 5, but as the time rolled away, many more came. After about half an hour there were around 15 of them in the bare fields, including the peahens and excluding the kids. Soon, one by one the peacocks started showing their feathers and dancing. We witnessed the divine dance of 5 peacocks and a fight of one as well.
