Rampara Wildlife Sanctuary
Rampara Wildlife Sanctuary, situated near Morbi District, is a rare wooded area that offers a remarkable blend of shrubs, grasses and a variety of flora and fauna. This sanctuary was established in November 1988 and spans over an area of 15 square kilometers with hillocks at its boundaries. It houses over 280 species of plants, 130 species of birds, 20 species of mammals and many reptiles.
The sanctuary is home to various species of birds such as Indian roller, crested serpent eagle, black shouldered kite, white-eyed buzzard, grey francolin, and many more. A watchtower located in the central part of the sanctuary provides a panoramic view of the sanctuary, allowing visitors to spot the two streams that run through it, providing water to the otherwise parched land.
