Dhubri, June 18: The Naamghar and Manikut of historic Ramrai Kuthi Satra, which was about to get reconstructed to its earlier form, remains in ramshackle position since March 2020, the DC of Dhubri visited the site recently and assured the stakeholders to speed up all the pending works. Under the project Preservation, Preservation and Development of Sri Sri Ramrai Kuthi Satra, at Satrasal amount of about 1.36 crores were allotted by the state for renovation of the sacred site of the Vaishnavites, where the historic marriage of Bir Chilarai with the daughter of Srimanta Sankardev's cousin brother Ramrai, Bhubaneswari Devi was conducted in the 16th Century. After the marriage, Srimanta Sankardev established the Satra to promote and propagate Satriya culture in the area with the aid of Cooch King Naranarayan, who was Chilarai's elder brother
