Sadhankeri

Sadhanakeri is a park honouring the great Kannada poet
Dr. Dattatreya Ramachandra Bendre. There is even a lovely Kannada song ’ Baro Sadhanakerige”. This place is in Dharwad, may be a half hour drive from Hubli. It is very well maintained, a big beautiful park, the lawns, statues etc, and in the centre there is a lake where you can go boating.
Sadhankeri is a park surrounding a lake. This lake was once the source of inspiration for poet laureate Dr. Dattatreya Ramachandra Bendre situated opposite the late poet’s residence at Sadhankeri Layout (South Dharwad), has an important place in the world of Kannada literature and culture. This park has thick cover of mango trees. Lake has boating facility. Every Saturday and Sunday musical fountain is played here and this is one of the main attraction of this park. Children can enjoy rides like see-saw, merry go-rounds, slides, swings and others.
