Sammilan Shetty's Butterfly Park

Butterflies as we know are one of the most amazing and beautiful creatures on earth and are also a very vital part of the ecosystem. Not only beauty but their formation and development process is in itself a fantastic thing to see from the caterpillar to a pupa and then the adult. They are a part of the food web and also are good pollinators. These beautiful creatures are in immediate need of conservation and protection and the Sammilan Shetty’s Butter Fly Park is one such association doing a fantastic job in this field. This park in the Belvai Village of Karnataka is a huge place in the heart of the Kanthavada Forest in the middle of the famous towns of Moodabidri and Karkala.
