Sangla

Nestled in the enchanting valleys of Himachal Pradesh, Sangla is a picturesque destination renowned for its stunning landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and adventurous activities. Located in the Kinnaur district, Sangla is approximately 238 kilometers from Shimla, offering a serene retreat amidst the Himalayan foothills. The key reason to visit Sangla lies in its breathtaking natural beauty, characterized by snow-capped peaks, lush green meadows, and gushing rivers, providing a perfect backdrop for relaxation and exploration.

Sangla is often referred to as the "Baspa Valley," named after the Baspa River that flows through the region, adding to its scenic charm. Visitors can indulge in a variety of activities, including trekking, camping, and nature walks, allowing them to immerse themselves in the tranquility of the Himalayan wilderness.

Bounded by strapping mountain slopes, sprawling evergreen forests and snow covered peaks, the valley is set apart from others by its red apples orchard and luscious cherry trees. Baspa River also meanders through the place, and is famous for trout fishing. The place is dotted with several attractions like Chitkul and Rakcham, two famous spots for trekking and camping. Apart from attractions like the Bering nag Temple and Kamru fort, Sangla also has a popular Tibetan Wood Carving centre and a Buddhist Monastery making it an amazing holiday destination.
