Shettihalli Church
With its Gothic architecture, Shettihalli Church reflects the influence of French missionaries who built it in the 1860s. During the 1960s, the church began submerging in water, hence its other names, the ‘Floating Church’ and ‘The Submerged Church. The church is located in Hassan district, Karnataka. It can be reached by taking a bus from Bengaluru to Hassan. The journey takes about four hours. From Hassan, take a cab or an auto-rickshaw to Shettihalli Church. The church is situated on the banks of the Hemavati River and is a beautiful place to visit.
