Shri Baba Augharnath Shiv Mandir

It is believed that the Shivling in this temple is self-manifested. That is, this Shivling has emerged from the earth itself. That is why it is a giver of immediate results. Along with fulfilling the wishes of the devotees in the form of Aunghaddani Shiva, he also gives the message of peace. Along with this, he also spreads revolution in the form of Nataraja.

Since Lord Shiva is present here in the form of Shiva, this is why it is called Aunghadnath Temple. It is also known as Kali Paltan Temple

The exact date of establishment of this temple is not known, but according to folklore, it existed as a revered place of worship among the people of the city and its surrounding areas even before the First Indian War of Independence . In the history of the brave Marathas, there is mention of the victory marches of many Peshwas, who worshipped Lord Shiva here.

This temple has had a special contribution in the First Indian War of Independence of 1857
