Sri Shakambhari Mata Mandir sakrai Dham

There are two idols of the Goddess in the temple of Shakambhari Mata, one in the form of Brahmani and Maa Rudrani. Both the idols of the Goddess are seated on a silver throne in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. Both these idols are of Mahishasuramardini Devi. Both the Goddesses have eight arms, in which they are holding weapons. Both the idols of the Goddess are very beautiful and are covered with vermilion. Both the idols are similar, the only difference is that the idol of Maa Rudrani is made of local med stone, while the idol of Brahmani Maa is made of marble. According to ancient facts, the name of the Goddess was earlier Shankaradevi, which later became famous as Sakrayamata and Shakambhari.
