Suryadev and Mando Devi Temple

Situated on a hilltop, Suryadev and Mando Devi Temple are a must visit in Gondia. The Surya dev temple is sacred to Sun God, while the other one is holy to Mando Devi, the incarnation of Goddess Durga. It is believed to be a wish - fulfilling temple, and it is also said that worshiping here can free one from all the diseases. In the temple premises, there's also a cave, which is the temple of Hanuman temple and Maa Annapurna. The temple is made up of single huge black stone along a lake situated in the south. According to locals, a lion visits at night to worship Mando Devi but never hurts anyone.
