Suryamal Peak

Suryamal is a place in the Mokhada taluk in Thane, which is situated at a distance of 85 km from Nashik and 120 km from Mumbai. The hill station is located at an altitude of 1800 ft above sea level. The place is one amongst the less explored hill stations, even with its close proximity to Mumbai.The place offers you trekking spots and also a perfect location to catch the mother nature at her best. The hillock offers you some breathtaking views of the lush green mountains and valleys. The place is a tribal village and is untouched by modernization, which gives you a picture of rural life and their culture.

Suryamal is the highest peak of the region; though small in size, it is a popular choice amongst those who wish to capture the breathtaking views which can be seen from the hilltop.
The place is a year around destination, however most them prefer to visit the place during the months starting from September to May as the weather remains comfortable during this time.

Most of the visitors to this hill station are predominantly trekkers, who are on the lookout for unexplored hills to conquer.Apart from the trekkers, the next group of people who come here the nature lovers. The place is often called as the paradise for trekkers as it offers a suitable hillock which can be scaled by anyone with ease.
