Tantadi Beach

Thanthadi Beach Vizag also goes by the name of NTPC Pump Beach among the people of the city. National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) power plant was set up in Vizag for providing power supply to the neighboring villages, cities, and states. Since the water was needed for power production, the power plant was constructed at the beach and it gave the beach its name of NTPC Pump Beach.

This beach comes with a natural view interspersed with an architectural view that comes from the power plant. Though the beach is one of the popular places to visit in Vizag because of its breathtaking backdrop and scenic beauty, it is considered one of the dangerous beaches of the country. Swimming and playing near the waves are completely restricted at the beach as it gets huge tidal waves.
