Anjaneyar Temple
The Anjaneyar Temple is located at Anapatti in the Nilakottai Taluk. The temple is one of the most famous temples in the area and is said to be over 300 years old. The temple was constructed by Rani Mangamma, the queen of Madurai. The temple is located near the Peranai Bridge which was built during the British rule. When the water is at its full height, the idol of the temple is half immersed under water.

Begambur Big Mosque
Begambur Big Mosque was constructed during the rule of Hyder Ali, and this ancient mosque is over 300 years old. The younger sister of King Hyder Ali, Ammer-un-Nisha Begam was buried within the compound of this mosque. The mosque is named after her as she was also lovingly referred to as Begambur in the Dindigul area.

Berijam Lake
Berijam Lake is a reservoir near Kodaikanal town in Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu, South India. It is at the old site of "Fort Hamilton", in the upper Palani hills. The lake, created by a dam with sluice outlets, is part of a micro–watershed development project. Periyakulam town, 18.7 kilometres (11.6 mi) to the SE, gets its public drinking water from the lake. The lake's water quality is excellent.The sparkling blue waters of this attraction makes for a tranquil spot for nature lovers to enjoy in the lap of Mother Earth, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Berijam Lake is a flourishing ecological hotspot that hosts many species of animals, birds, plants and fish. Rich in its flora and fauna, the Berijam Lake is a popular picnic spot amongst locals and is open between the months of October to May for all to enjoy, and you need to obtain formal permission from the Forest Department for the same.

Coakers Walk
Coakers Walk is a beautiful man-made one-kilometre-long walking plaza built on the mountains in the mesmerizing city of Kodaikanal, which is situated in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The lovely path of Coakers Walk that curves by the edge of the gorgeous mountain have been constructed mainly for visitors to get a glimpse of Paradise on Earth. It is a preferred location for morning and evening walks, and admirers of nature visit the location often to capture the wonderful lush green valleys and the hills of Kodaikanal. One can also choose to ride a bicycle to explore the scenic location. The sight is breathtakingly beautiful, and it almost makes one feel like they are walking in the clouds.The Coakers Walk was constructed in 1872, by Lieutenant Coaker. It is about half a kilometre away from the Kodaikanal Lake and is constructed on the steep slope of the mountains. The walk begins near Van Allen Hospital and joins the main road above St. Peter's Church. The pathway is fenced by the edge of the mountain for the safety of the visitors.

Dindigul Rock Fort
The Dindigul Rock Fort is the most significant historical landmark of the city. Located on top of the Dindigul hill at a height of 280 ft, it was constructed in the 17th century by Muthu Krishna Naicker of the Madurai kingdom. Since then it has seen many occupants. In the 18th Century Tipu Sultan ruled over the fort and the fort went over to the British after his defeat. It is Located away from the main city of Kodaikanal on the Pillar Rocks Road, Guna Caves is one of the mysterious tourist attractions in Kodaikanal that promises an enthralling experience. Originally known as Devil’s Kitchen, these caves are actually caverns formed between the three boulders of the mountain.The Guna Caves have been formed at an altitude of 2230 metres. Though the caves were discovered in 1821 itself, they gained huge tourist attraction only after the Tamil movie “Guna” shot here became a massive hit. Today, parts of the caves can be seen from a distance. Bats are found in plenty inside the Guna Caves which make the place look scary.

It is situated at Kodaikanal city.TheKodaikanal Lake is an artificial lake and is also called Kodai Lake by the locals. Vera Levinge was the man responsible for the creativity and resources of this lake amidst Kodaikanal town. Kottai Mariamman Temple
KottaiMariamman Temple is a several hundred year old Saivite Temple at Begampur, Dindigul. The goddess idol was installed here by warriors who belonged to Tipu Sultan army at a Peedam. The Temple was constructed several years later. Devotees carry fire pot, light Maa Vilakku and perform Abhishekam and archana to the goddess as their thanks giving. Devotees believed that the goddess will bless them with child boon and save them from prolonged diseases.Sri KottaiMariammanKovil is a 200 year old temple which has an idol of KottaiMariamman, installed by Tipu Sultan. Other important idols in the temple include Lord Vinayaka, Lord Murugan, Goddess Kali, Goddess Durga and Madurai Veeran. It has been constructed in the shape of a square at the fort of the mountain.The Mariamman idol is said to be installed by the army men of Tippu Sultan at the fort of the mountain. Hence it is called Kottai (Fort) Mariamman temple of Dindigul. The historical name of the Sri KottaiMariamman temple is called as Dhandeeswaram. There are three special entrances to the temple. The processions are arranged through the front entrance. The main idol in the sanctum is installed on the floor of the temple and Sakthi is always designed with golden Kavacham during the festival.

Kuzhanthai Velappar Temple
KuzhanthaiVelappar Temple is a Hindu temple in the Village of Poombarai near Kodaikanal in Dindigul.10/12 centuries when Bogar returned from China, (ie., after completing Palani andavar statue before his China visit), he built one more DhasaBhashanam Statue at mid of Palani and Poombarai (called western gates nowadays), the place is called as YanaiGejam(Bogar Kadu). As per inscriptions in the temple, the temple was built by king of Chera dynasty. The idol of the deity is said to be made of an amalgam of nine poisonous substances which forms an eternal medicine when mixed in a certain ratio. It is placed upon a pedestal of stone, with an archway framing it and represents the god KuzhanthaiVelappar in the form he assumed at Poombarai - that of a very young recluse, shorn of his locks and all his finery.The temple is built in a typical South India temple architectural style. There is no tower. The sanctum sanctorum faces towards the east direction. The main idol, KulandaiVelappan is present in the standing posture in the sanctum sanctorum. His mount (vahanam) peacock is found near the Bali peetham and flag staff facing towards the main shrine. There is a sub-shrine where the metal Utsava idols of Ganesha and Subramanya with his consorts are placed. It is found near the sanctum sanctorum. The wall around the main shrine has Nataraja and Dattatreya as the Koshta idols. It is very rare to find Nataraja and Dattatreya in the form of carvings as the Koshta idols. Moreover, it is also rare to find the carving or idol of Dattatreya. The temple also houses many sub-shrines of various deities such as Shiva Linga, Ganesha, Navagraha, Bhairava, Idumban, Dakshinamurti and Nagas. The sanctum of the temple is of early Chera architecture.

Mannavanur lake
Mannavanur Lake is one of the most serene place that you can visit on Kodaikanal trip. Palani Murugan temple
ArulmiguDhandayuthapani Swami Temple is First of the Six Abodes of Murugan(Aarupadaiveedugal). It is located in the city of Palani earlier it was known as 'Thiruavinangudi' ,Dindigul district, 150 kilometres (93 mi) southeast of Coimbatore and northwest of Madurai in the foothills of the Palani Hills, Tamil Nadu, India. Palani temple is considered synonymous with Panchamritam, a sweet mixture made of five ingredients.The deity ‘Lord Palani Murugan’ is referred to as ‘Lord Dandayudhapani’, having the staff in His hand and the deity is made out of amalgam of nine minerals known as ‘Navabashana’.According to the mythology of this temple, Lord Maharishi Naradar visited Lord Shiva in Kailash and presented a fruit which is called ‘GnaanaPazham’ (a divine fruit). Lord Shiva decided to conduct a competition stating that the fruit will be gifted to whichever of His two Sons circles the world and reaches first. Accepting the challenge, His younger son Lord Murugan took His Vahan (Vehicle) peacock and started His journey around the world, whereas His elder son Lord Ganesh guessed that this world was His parents Lord Shiva and Goddess Shakti and circumambulate them. By seeing the enlightenment of Lord Ganesh, Lord Shiva awarded the fruit to Him. When Lord Murugan returned, He was disappointed that all His efforts had been in vain and left Kailash and stands atop the Palani hill.

Soundararajaperumal Temple Dindugul
Soundararajaperumal Temple is a temple dedicated to Hindu god Vishnu, located in Thadikombu, a village near Dindigul in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Constructed in Dravidian style of architecture, the temple is believed to have been built by Achyuta Deva Raya during the 16th century AD. Vishnu is worshiped as Soundararaja Perumal and his consort Lakshmi as Soundaravalli.The temple is known for the Ranga Mandapam, which features rare life size sculptures. The temple has two inscriptions dating from the Nayak period. The temple has a five-tiered rajagopuram (gateway tower) and enshrined within a granite wall. The complex contains all the shrines and water bodies associated with it.Soundararaja Perumal is believed to have appeared for sage Mandukya. The temple observes six daily rituals and three yearly festivals. The chariot festival, celebrated during the Tamil month of Chittirai (March–April), is the most prominent festival of the temple. The temple is maintained and administered by the Hindu Religious and Endowment Board of the Government of Tamil Nadu.
