Gandahathi Waterfall
A temple to the Hindu Goddess Santoshi Maa's temple is located near the waterfall.
The river can be crossed via an adjacent wooden bridge. Additionally, there is a wooden fence that runs from the entrance to the waterfall area to the steps that lead to the waterfall. A small garden and playground are maintained for the amusement of the visitors.
Beneath the falls, the river is shallow, and visitors can wade into the water. Huge rocks offer another viewpoint where visitors can enjoy the fall and take photographs.

Mahendragiri
Mahendragiri hill and its surrounding areas are recognized as a biodiversity hot spot due to numerous medicinal plants and other species that are found here. A haven for medicinal plants, Mahendragiri Hills, which is part of the Eastern Ghats, is home to over 600 flowering plants. The faunal diversity of the region is huge and particularly known for being a herpetofauna hotspot.
The Ministry of Environment and Forests, GoI had proposed the State Government of Odisha in 1986 to declare the Mahendragiri hill as a Biodiversity Hotspot area. An expert committee of the Forest and Environment Department has also recommended that the bio-diversity hotspot Mahendragiri Hills should be declared as a Biosphere Reserve in 2014.

B.N.PALACE
The palace is known for its rich culture among the world heritages. British Architect, Robert Fellows Chisholm was responsible for design and construction of this royal fort. The fort is influenced by IndoSaracenic style combined with Byzantine and European architectural features. This palace is a 3-storey structure which has a secret hall and a subversive passageway that links to the chief citadel of the Maharaja. The palace includes an underground floor connecting it with the main palace of the Maharaja. It is believed that this secret passage was used by the royal family to hide during attacks from enemies.

Padmasambhava Statue
In modern Tibetan Buddhism, Padmasambhava is considered to be a Buddha that was foretold by Buddha Shakyamuni. According to traditional hagiographies, his students include the great female masters Yeshe Tsogyal and Mandarava.The contemporary Nyingma school considers Padmasambhava to be a founding figure. The Nyingma school also traditionally holds that its Dzogchen lineage has its origins in Garab Dorje through a lineage of transmission to Padmasambhava.

Chandragiri
Chandragiri is now famous for the historical fort, built in the 11th century, and the Raja Mahal (Palace) within it. The fort encircles eight ruined temples of Saivite and Vaishnavite pantheons, Raja Mahal, Rani Mahal and other ruined structures.
The Raja Mahal Palace is now an archaeological museum. The fort and palace are in the care of the Archaeological Survey of India. The palace is open to the public, but the fort is closed. The palace is an example of Indo-Sarcen architecture of the Vijayanagar period. The palace was constructed using stone, brick, lime mortar and devoid of timber.

Mankadadian Waterfall Road
I have visited the waterfall a number of times, but still its beauty and serenity attracts me. Jiranga Buddhist Monastery
The Chinese invasion and occupation of Tibet in 1959 forced about 85,000 Tibetans including their religious and political head the 14th Dalai Lama to seek shelter in India and other places. Then Chandragiri, about 87 kilometers from Berhampur a southern town of Odisha, was chosen as one of the main six camps / settlements established in the country. The Tibetan refugees who stay at Jiranga or which is also popularly known as Chandragiri, Odisha, call this place as Phuntsokling, which in Tibetan translates to -"Land of Happiness and Plenty". Accord for the monastery was given by the Dalai Lama in 1998. The foundation stone was laid in 2003 and building was completed in 2008 at a cost of about Rs 8 crores.
