Arakkal Museum Kannur
The Arakkal Kettu Museum is located at Ayikkara, a small coastal village in Kannur district. It offers a glimpse into the rich history of the Arakkal Ali Rajas, Kerala’s only Muslim royal family. The museum is actually a section of the Arakkal Kettu (Arakkal Royal Palace). The durbar hall (king’s court) of the Arakkal Kettu has been converted into a museum by the Government of Kerala and was opened to the public in 2005. Kannur Light House
At a distance of 2 km from Kannur Railway Station, Kannur Lighthouse is a lighthouse situated near Payyambalam Beach in Kannur town of Kerala. Adjacent to the Sea View Park and the Government Guest House, it is the fourth largest lighthouse in Kerala and one of the popular Kannur Tourist Places.
Also known as Cannanore Lighthouse, the lighthouse is still active and overlooks the Arabian Sea. In 1843, the British introduced a system of hoisting a lantern with an oil wick lamp in order to warn ships. A masonry pedestal was constructed in 1903 on the rampart of Kannur fort and placed a double wick oil lamp inside the 4th order dioptric lens and lantern on this pedestal. The light was made available during fair seasons only, from September to May every year.

Mappila Bay
Mappila Bay, or Mopila Bay, is a natural harbour located in the city of Kannur in Kerala. In its past, the Mappila Bay served as a major port, connecting the Malabar to lands far and wide.
