Beteraya Swamy Temple
Sri Beteraya Swamy Temple in Denkanikottai is around 1,000 years old and is built in Hoysala style architecture. Its located in Krishnagiri District in Tamil Nadu and is very near to the industrial city of Hosur. This Temple follows the Thenkalai tradition among vaishnavites. The temple is one of the prominent landmarks of Denkanikottai and one of the most visited tourist destinations in the region. Various festivals are celebrated in the temple, of which the fifteen-day annual Chittirai Kalyana Utsavam during the Tamil month of Chittirai (April - May) and nine-day Brahmotsavam being the most prominent. Lord Vishnu is the Presiding deity here and His Consort is Goddess Soundaravalli Thayar.

Chandra Choodeswarar Temple

Dakshina Temple
Dakshina Thirupathi is located in Hosu, Krishnagiri. This is a small temple near Hosur dedicated to lord Vishnu. It’s also called as Sri Sri Venkateshwara Swamy temple or Dakshin Tirupati also called as chinna tirupati hosur. At the top of a hill, it is a very calm and quite place and you would like to spend a couple of hours in peace there. There is a river which flows behind the temple. Kelevarapalli Dam
Kelevarapalli Dam is located in Hosur taluk of Krishnagiri district. Kelevarapalli dam across the Ponnaiyar river in this village. The Dam is constructed across Ponniar river. Ponniar river originates from the eastern slopes of Chennakesava Hills, north west of Nandi Drug and flows towards south east for a distance of 88.8 Kms to reach the dam site. The dam has a park with children play equipments. Migratory birds like Spoonbills, Pelicons etc., from foreign countries visit the dam and breads at Chennathur village adjacent to the dam site. Gavi LakshmiNarasima Temple
This Temple is located in Denkanikottai in Krishnagiri district. Its a small hill temple with Foot Steps and also a Motorable road available. The Presiding Deity here is Gavi Lakshminarasimha Swamy. It is believed that the Pancha Pandavas had visited this Temple during the time of their Exile. It is believed to be 5000 years old and located amongst thick forest. In earlier days devotees used to avoid this temple due to poor roads and due to animal menace. But now newer roads have been laid upto the temple.

Hanuman Theertham
This place is situated on the bank of pennaiyar at a distance of 10km from Uthangarai and traditionally associated with Theerthamalai. It is believed that Hanuman who was instructed by Lord Rama to get the water from the Ganges for his penance at Tirtamalai which he could not do it in time, So Rama was said to have done Asthrapryogam and got it. Disappointed at this, Hanuman was said to have thrown down the vessel in which he brought the holy water and this spilled water is believed to be the ‘Hanumantirtham’. The water is considered sacred and during the Tamil month of Adi (July-August) people frequent this spot. One of the visiting place in krishnagiri district.

Jalagamparai Falls
Jalagamparai waterfalls are a 5 km trek from Yelagiri downhill. Its a tough trek, but the view from the sides of the mountain, of the valley, is truly rewarding. April probably is not a good time to visit the falls. The waterfall is suited in an isolated place and is not crowed most of the time. The best time to visit the Jalagamparai waterfalls is from November to January. This waterfall is very near to the Jalagamparai temple which is an important temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The falls has a trek route and also a Motorable road. The falls can be reached after 1.5 hour trek of 6km from Nilavoor. It is little tough trek, but view of the valley from the falls is truly amazing.

Kattu Veera Anjaneya Temple
Kattuveera Anjaneya Temple is located at Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu is said to be 2500 years old and this Anjaneya here ensures that the one wish which one pray with full devotion is said to come true, within 3 months. Mallachandram
Mallachandram is located in Krishnagiri. Mallachandram, situated about 19 km away from Krishnagiri and 4 km from Samalpallam. Mallachandram is one of the protected sites in Tamil Nadu, maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India. Rayakottai Fort
The fort was built by King Krishna deverayar and situated within the town of Rayakottai which is one of the ancient fortress in the Krishnagiri district. It is now one of the protected monument by the Archaeological Survey of India. Rayakottah is one of the protected historic monuments. Rayakottah is a hill fort which withstood the Mysore wars. It was a strategic fort for the British, who stationed at this fort till 1861. Rayakottah, which marks the border of Palaghat Plateau, is at a distance of 30 km from Hosur. In the 18th century Hyder Ali and Tipu sultan captured this fort. Time to visit: The cooler months of September to February are the best time to trek in Rayakottai as it can get very hot in summer days, and should be avoided. The rayakottai 'fort' may interest only those who are up for some climbing and such activities.
