Shahi Maqbara/tombs

Erected in the memory of the departed kings of Golconda, they are magnificent monuments that have withstood the test of time and nature’s vagaries. They are located one kilometer north of Golconda Fort’s called Banjara Darwaza. They are imposing marvels of architectural excellence that stand as the reminders of the glory of Golconda kings who are buried at the same spot. Built by the Qutub Shahis, these tombs are considered to be among the oldest historical monuments of Hyderabad.

Jama masjid

The Jama Masjid in the center of the city and near Mohalla Baradri. It was built during the reign of Nawab Sher Muhammad Khan and then Nawab Sikandar Ali Khan .Five old domes built during this period still stand. The exterior of the mosque was built after the partition of the country and is beautifully enamelled.Jama Masjid is a very old mosque in the city. It’s beautifully built and was the biggest mosque.

The ruins of the nineteenth-century Mubarak Manzil Palace in Punjab’s Malerkotla town indicate the State’s neglect and apathy towards its heritage, which not only has architectural value but is closely associated with sentiments of Sikhs and Muslims alike.Last week, the 103-year-old Begum Munawwar-ul-Nisa, the wife of Malerkotla’s last ruler Nawab Iftikhar Ali Khan, passed without witness the ‘Mubarak Manzil Palace’ restored to its pristine glory.
