Mallela Theertham

Mallela Theertham is in the middle of the dense forest. A walk down 350 steps is required to access the waterfall. The best flows are from the months of October to February.March to June is the dry season. The remaining months are rainy months, and it is very difficult to drive on the muddy road.

Umamaheshwaram Temple

Uma Maheshwara Swamy temple is located in a picturesque Nallamala forest range near Mannanur Village, Amrabad Mandal. The temple dates back to 2nd century and belongs to the reign of Maurya Chandragupta. The temple houses a Shivalinga, which has two colours – white on one side and red on the other.

Nehru Zoological Park

Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad was started in 1959 by relocating the erstwhile Zoo enclosures from Public Gardens, in Hyderabad. It was inaugurated on 6th October 1963. The area of the Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad is 380 Acres. The Zoo is abutting the Miralam Tank bund which is an indigenous arch bund dam with 24 arches formed 200 years ago.

Kurnool Fort

The fort has three levels and it was used as watch tower in 17th and 18th centuries. The ground level is closed for visitors, while the visitors can climb to the first and second floors and get a glimpse of the history.
