Sardar Sarovar Dam

The Sardar Sarovar project was the idea that was conceived by the deputy first prime minister in India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The foundation stone for Sardar Sarovar Dam was laid on the initiative of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on April 5th, 1961. On occasion of his birthday, prime minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the Sardar Sarovar Dam, which is located on the Narmada river.

Shoolpaneshwar Mahadev temple

Shulpaneshwar Tirtha is a famous temple of Narmada district at Gujarat, and the temple is also known as Shulpaneshwar Mahadev temple. As per the Indian mythology, the ancient temple has many stories associated to it. It is believed that the temple was originally built by the Pandavas. Not only in Mahabharata, Shulpaneshwar Tirtha is mentioned in the Puranas also. This campsite is situated in the Narmada District. It is 28 kms from Rajpipla towards Kevadia Colony at the Narmada Dam site. It is 7 kms from the Thawadia checkpost. Valley of Flowers

Valley of Flowers at Statue of Unity is one of the major Attractions Near Statue of Unity located at Kevadia Colony in Gujarat. At present in the first phase, the Valley of Flowers is developed in 250 hectares of the area; in the later phase it is going to develop in 3000 hectares the total area of the valley will be 3200 hectares. In this valley, two lakes named Poyani and kamal are developed.

Karjan Dam

Karjan Dam is a magnificent tourist attraction located near Rajpipla in the state of Gujarat. This dam is spread over a very large area. This dam is located in Shoolpaneshwar Wildlife Sanctuary. 

At Karjan Dam 9 gates are available. You get to see some of its gates open sometimes. It usually remains open during the rainy season. The filling area of this dam is 1403.78 square kilometers. The length of the dam is 903 meters. The height of the dam is 100 meters. The storage capacity of this dam is 28.30 cubic. This dam is mainly built for irrigation.
