Gadpehra Temple

Gadpahra Fort is low profile fort in Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh. It is about 10kms north of Sagar city. Eran

Pong Dam

The Pong Dam, also known as the Beas Dam, is an earth-fill embankment dam on the Beas River in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India, just upstream of Talwara. The purpose of the dam is water storage for irrigation and hydroelectric power generation. As the second phase of the Beas Project, construction on the dam began in 1961 and was completed in 1974. At the time of its completion, the Pong Dam was the tallest of its type in India. The lake created by the dam, Maharana Pratap Sagar, became a renowned bird sanctuary.

Nauradehi Wildlife Sanctuary

Nauradehi Wildlife Sanctuary is the largest wildlife sanctuary in Madhya Pradesh. The sanctuary covers nearly 1197 km² area across three districts i.e. Sagar, Damoh and Narsinghpur, of Madhya Pradesh. The entire Sanctuary is situated on a plateau, forming part of upper Vindhyan range and has a connecting forest patch with Veerangana Durgawati Sanctuary in Damoh district towards east which extends up to Bandhavgarh National Park.

Sagar lake

The lake which forms the centre of the town, extends over an area about 400 acres. Formally it was perhaps much larger and covered the ground on which the Town Hall, the Tehsil Office and Gopal ganj quarters now stand. The present Collectorate a large building situated on a hill overlooking the City, was constructed in 1820 as the residence of the Governors General Agent. The lake improved and deepened during the famine of 1900 at a cost of about Rs. 7000. Due to topography of the region and the existence of the Sagar Lake very little improvement was effected in the old parts of the town.
