Maenam Wildlife Sanctuary
Established back in the year 1987, Maenam Wildlife Sanctuary is a small wildlife sanctuary spanning an area of just 35 sq. km. This sanctuary is famous for its variety of flora, especially for the medicinal plants. Government of Sikkim has proposed to build a 22 km ropeway in this area to create the first wildlife skywalk of India which will be something similar to the skywalk in the Grand Canyon in USA.

Buddha Park
On the birth anniversary of Lord Gautama Buddha in 2006 the state government took a policy decision to observe the birth anniversary throughout the year in Sikkim. And as a part of the celebration, the people of Ravangla took the initiative to construct and install a large statue of Lord Buddha and eco -garden to commemorate the event. This would also be a landmark in Sikkim’s unique effort to promote pilgrimage tourism. The Buddha Park hosts a beautiful statue of Sakyamuni Buddha which is clearly visible from all the directions of southwest Sikkim near Ravangla and some parts of west Sikkim.

Ralong Monastery
At a distance of 10 km from Ravangla, Ralang Monastery is a Buddhist monastery situated at Ralang near Ravangla in Sikkim. Belongs to Kagyu sect of Tibetan Buddhism, it is one of the most sacred monasteries in Sikkim and among the best pilgrimage places to visit in Ravangla.
The old Ralang Monastery was built in 1768 AD by the 4th Chogyal of Sikkim to commemorate his successful pilgrimage to Tibet. According to legend, when the fourth Chogyal returned from his pilgrimage, Karmapa performed the 'Rabney' (traditional blessing). Following the rituals, he tossed some grains from the Tsurphu Monastery in Tibet (the main seat of Karmapa) and the grains fell on the ground of Ralang.
