Dri Valley (Dambeun)

The Dri Valley is also a very beautiful place but somewhat plain unlike the Mathun Valley. River Dri flows which is turbulent at the lower region but becomes calm at the upper region which makes Dambeun, which is 32 kms from Anini, an ideal spot for tourists and picnickers during winter season. Dambeun, the Circle Hq. and ITBP base camp is the last motorable village and after that one can go on foot for trekking.

Athupopu – The Sacred Place of Idu Mishmis (Talon Valley)

The IDU-MISHMI is a major sub-tribe of Mishmi group. Their brethren tribes are namely the DIGARU-MISHMI (TARAONS) and the MIJU-MISHMI (KAMANS). They inhabit the Lohit district, Dibang Valley district and Lower Dibang Valley district. They are of mongoloid stock and speak the Tibeto-Burman language.

Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary

Owing its name to Mehao Lake, located within the reserve, Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the most popular wildlife places in Arunachal Pradesh. The sanctuary was established in 1980 and is home to many species of wild animals including the Bengal tiger, hoolock gibbon, leopard and clouded leopard.The best way to explore the vicinity of the Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary will be undertaking a 12-km long trek that will take approximately 4-7 hours.

Mehao Lake

This huge lake located within the Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary at a height of almost 3000m and is one of the biggest tourist attractions of Arunachal Pradesh. Covering an area of nearly 4 sq. km. the lake attracts many ducks and other birds. Boating also takes place in the lake.
