Junagarh Fort

Seth Bhandashah Jain Temple

Located in Bikaner, Rajasthan, the Bhandasar Jain Temple is a true gem showcasing the exquisite Jain architecture and artistry. Shri Laxminath Temple

At a distance of 3 km from Bikaner Junction Railway Station, Shri Laxminath Temple is an ancient Hindu temple situated just beside Bhandasar Jain Temple in Bikaner Town of Rajasthan. It is one of the oldest temples in Bikaner and also one of the top places to visit in Bikaner.

Shri Laxminath Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and his consort, Goddess Laxmi. It was constructed by Maharaja Rao Lunakaran, between 1504 and 1526 CE. Later the temple was developed by Maharaja Ganga Singh with more elaborate art work inside the temple and highlighting architectural skills. Prachina Museum

Established in 2000, Prachina Museum was set up by Princess Siddhi Kumari in Bikaner with an aim to display the culture and heritage of Bikaner. The Museum displays paraphernalia belonging to three generations of royal women along with furniture and silver used by erstwhile Maharaja of Bikaner, Narender Sinhji. The Museum was set up in a karkhana or workshop that belonged to Princess Siddhi Kumari’s grandmother. Women from the royal family of Bikaner traditionally supervised workshops or ‘karkhanas’ where local artisans practised their craft. The Museum is a part of the grand Junagarh Fort complex that was used by the Royal Family as their residence before Lalgarh Fort was built.

Ganga state Museum

The Ganga Government Museum was inaugurated on 5th November 1937 by the then governor-general of India, Lord Linlithgow in Bikaner. As the Museum marked the Golden Jubilee celebration of Maharaja Ganga Singh's reign of the Bikaner province, it was inaugurated as the Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum. On 6th December 1915, Maharaja Ganga Singh Ji, who was the ruling Maharaja of the princely state of Bikaner, appointed an Italian scholar, Dr Luigi Pio Tessitori, to conduct a historical and bardic survey of the region.

Sursagar Lake

Sursagar Lake : This lake is situated in the middle of the city of Vadodara. Originally it was a little pond called ‘Chandan Talav ‘ , which was built by Shri Sureshwar Desai,  hence named after him as Sursagar.  It was renovated and decorated  time to time by different rulers of Vadodara. This lake remains full of water through out the year. There are many gates in the lake to manage water in case it overflows.

Devi Kund Sagar

At a distance of 9 km from Bikaner Junction Railway Station, Devi Kund Sagar is the cremation ground of Bikaner Royal family situated in the outskirts of Bikaner. It is one of the famous places to visit during Bikaner Trip.

Devi Kund consists of several royal cenotaphs or chhatris of brave rulers of Bika dynasty. It has two groups of cenotaphs built in the memory of kings, queens and members of the Bikaner royal family. The earliest cenotaph is of Rao Kalyanmal, the 5th ruler of Bikaner (1542 - 71 AD) and the last cenotaph is of Maharaja Karni Singh (1950 - 88 AD).
