Joshimath

Joshimath is just 12 km down from Auli. It is famous for the temple Jyotirmath that’s why the city is named Joshimath. It is the base for the trek to the valley of flowers. Joshimath is also a good town to visit nearby Auli, you can shop for different pahadi items in Joshimath and local spices and many other items. It is also a perfect location to stay while you are in Auli and not find rooms there.
