Rih Dil
If you wish to see a spot that looks just out of the world, then head to Rih Dil in Champhai. It is a beautiful heart-shaped lake which is also very close to the heart of Mizoram, as it is one of the most loved and revered lakes in the state. A unique feature of Rih Dil lake is that though it is located in Mizoram, a part of it is in Myanmar. It is also the largest lake in the state and the south-west part of the lake is believed to be deeper than the north-west part.

Lengteng Wildlife Sanctuary
Located very near the Murlen National Park, this sanctuary is home to animals like the barking deer, rhesus macaque, wild boar as well as leopard. Tigers and gorals are also found here.

THASIAMA SENO NEIHNA
This is a plateau on a steep rugged hillock that protrudes out precariously and is not easily negotiable by man. Located at Vaphai, a village about 86 kms. Away from Champhai, and a visit to this site is a thrilling experience. According to legend the plateau is the site where Thasiama`s Mithun used to calf, considered impossible for a Mithun to climb even today. However, legend tells us that Thasiama had an affairs with a beautiful Fairy named Chawngtinleri and that the Fairy had bestowed him a gift that his Mithun will multiply and make him prosperous. The Fairy used to guide Thasiama`s Mithun to this particular hill for safe delivery and guard it against the onslaught of tigers that haunt the area.

Mura Puk
Mura Puk consists of six caves, which according to legends, were dug by the villagers of the area in order to hide from the man-eating eagle. The story goes like this that once upon a time, a gigantic eagle by the name of Mura existed in the area. Mura was extremely cruel and had a unique technique for hunting down his prey. He would sit on the roof of the huts and would thrust his tail through the rear door, scaring away the residents and forcing them to try and escape through the front door.

Glimpse of Kungawrhi Puk
Kungawrhi Puk is one of the most significant and largest caves in Mizoram. This cave is located on the hills between Farkawn and Vaphai villages in the Champhai district. Legend has it that a long time ago, the spirits had abducted and used this cave as a confinement of a beautiful girl by the name of Kungawrhi. Kungawrhi was engaged to a brave young man called Pnathira. The incident took place on a day when Pnathira and Kungawrhi were on their way from Pnathira's village. The spirits were fascinated by Kungawrhi's magnificent beauty and they kidnapped her, hiding her away in these caves. The victimised girl stayed in the cave until the valiant Pnathira returned for his love and fought bravely against the spirits and freed his beloved from their trap. The caves were then named after this girl. One could reach Kungawrhi Puk by hiring a tourist vehicle from Champhai town.

Lamsial Puk
Situated near Farkawn village on a rockface, this cave contains a number of human skulls and bones as well as pieces of some traditional shawls with which they had been possibly wrapped. While the bones are estimated to be about three hundred years old, no precise explanation has yet been found as to the identities of the people and when and why they were placed here. However, it has been commonly assumed that they were left there by the people of the erstwhile Lamsial village which used to be located around here when the Mizos began to settle down in this area after crossing the Tiau river bordering Myanmar.

Murlen National Park
Situated close to the Indo - Myanmar border of Champhai District about 245 km from Aizawl, Murlen National Park is well known for being one of the few remaining refuges of Mizoram state bird, Vavu (Mrs Hume's Pheasant). Covering 100 sq.km of virgin forests, the park consists of sub-tropical evergreen forest and sub - montane forests which are home to various mammals and birds. There are also sheer rocky cliffs clustered with honey combs and a buzzing with swifts and swallows.

Mura Pûk
MURA PUK (Mura Caves) at the outskirts of Zote village near Champhai, Mizoram The origin of this cave is shrouded in mystery. When Zote village was resettled under Chief Laitea in 1899 these caves were already in existence. Originally, there were seven caves but now only four have survived. Legend has it that these caves were the hiding place from the gigantic eagle called 'Mura'. Mura was a monstrous and ferocious eagle.
