Betla National Park
Betla National Park, located in the Latehar district of Jharkhand in India, is one of the lesser-known national parks in the country. Still, it’s a hidden gem for nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers. The Tiger Reserve forms a part of the Betla National Park. The total area of the tiger reserve is 1129.93 sq. km. It is one of the first 9 tiger reserves created in the country at the inception of ‘Project Tiger’, in India and the only one in the state of Jharkhand.

Palamau Tiger Reserve
The forest is surrounded by the Netarhat Forest in the South, Auranga River in the North, Latehar Forest Division on the East and Garhwa Forest Division and Sarguja District of Chhattisgarh on the West.The Palamau Tiger Reserve is very important for its biodiversity. The project area is constituted mainly of Sal forests, mixed deciduous forests and bamboo groves. The reserve zone is the watershed area for 3 important rivers Koel, Burha and Auranga.The scientific management of the forests had started as early as 1864 and over the years, large forest areas were notified as reserved forests, protected forests, wildlife sanctuary and national park.

Palamau Fort
Palamau Fort, situated in the dense forests of Betla National Park in Jharkhand, India, showcases the ruins of an architectural marvel with a historical aura. Established by the Chero dynasty in the 16th century, it has witnessed numerous historical events and dynastic shifts. Two forts, Upper Fort and Lower Fort, together constitute the Palamau Fort complex spreading over a hilly landscape.

Lodh Waterfalls

It is the highest waterfall in Jharkhand and the 21st highest waterfall in India. It is located on the Burha River, deep in the forest of the Latehar district the Chota Nagpur Plateau.
